Affiliate Marketing and Visiting Teaching

Affiliate marketing is designed, ideally, to be a win-win scenario for everyone involved.

Affiliate marketing is a symbiotic relationship and it reminds me of visiting teaching.

Visiting what!?

Affiliate Marketing and Visiting Teaching I live in Provo, Utah where the Mormon faith abounds. I personally appreciate the Mormon faith and not just because I'm a Mormon. The more I think about it the more I realize how intelligent the Mormon faith truly is. For instance, in the Mormon faith, faithful and active members of every ward participate in home teaching and visiting teaching. Male members perform home teaching and female members do the visiting teaching. Every person has an assignment and every person is assigned a home teacher or a visiting teacher so that everyone gets a chance to be served/taught and to teach/serve.

It's kind of like affiliate marketing although visiting teachers don't receive any monetary reward.

Affiliate Marketing Similarities An affiliate system is similar to visiting teaching in that everyone who maintains decent website standards (and pretty much anyone else for that matter) has the chance to participate in affiliate marketing.

How does visiting teaching work? Off in Salt Lake (and perhaps in other areas), the Ensign (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints magazine) is released all over the world once a month with an inspirational message that visiting teachers can use to teach those members they are assigned to visit. Members are free to also bring treats and perform service for those they visit. Unlike an affiliate program, none of the members are paid for their service, but in many regards the the process can be similar to that of affiliate marketing.

How is affiliate marketing similar? An affiliate marketing merchant could be compared to the church magazine headquarters will send out banners, ads, and incentives to a variety of related websites who will in turn ?spread the word.? Affiliate marketing networks can be some of the most powerful commercial networking tools available today.

How do the visiting teachers benefit? I've been a visiting teacher since I turned 18 and I would have to say that the benefits would include the following:

1)You get to meet new people who in normal circumstances you might rarely have spoken to. 2)You come to appreciate the circumstances of those who have lives that are very different to yours. (Your empathy and understanding is increased.) 3)You have the opportunity to share your talents with others. (I was able to teach a lesson in Spanish since one of the women in my ward did not speak very much English.) 4)You have the opportunity to share and discuss your ideas, opinions and testimonies with someone who may not share the opinions or ideas that you have. (This can be very therapeutic as I'm sure most readers can guess). 5)You create a network of power since every woman who does her visiting teaching faithfully has knowledge of what is going on in her ward and is more educated on how she can really help people in her community.

How do those who participate in affiliate marketing benefit? An affiliate marketer who markets for a merchant can benefit from the following:

1)Usually it's easy to maintain banners and the merchant will often provide new banners so that you and your website visitors don't grow bored viewing the same media on your website. 2)When your affiliate status takes off, you can make money and expend very little effort doing it. 3)You can become a merchant yourself which is more leg work than being an affiliate but can be much more profitable.

Whether it's visiting teaching or affiliate marketing, you can benefit from the power of networking.
